Smith-Dorrien House, Office building and Grade II listed property in Aldershot, United Kingdom
Smith-Dorrien House stands tall on Queens Avenue, displaying Victorian architectural elements with high ceilings and large windows across its structure.
The building emerged in 1908 when General Sir Horace Smith-Dorrien placed the foundation stone, marking the beginning of its military-connected history.
Originally serving as a barracks institute, the building provided soldiers with spaces for reading, studying, and social gatherings in the early 1900s.
The structure now functions as the headquarters for the Wellesley Project, managed by Grainger Plc, following extensive renovations in 2013.
Architect Harry Bell Measures incorporated specific design elements that earned the building its Grade II listing status in July 1998.
