Seven Barrows, Bronze Age burial ground in Upper Lambourn, England

The Seven Barrows contains over thirty burial mounds arranged in two parallel lines running from northwest to southeast across four hectares of land.

Archaeological excavations at this prehistoric cemetery revealed multiple human remains, including one barrow containing skeletons of more than 100 individuals from 2200 BCE.

These burial mounds represent ancient funeral practices, with various types including long barrows from 4000 BCE and bell barrows from around 2000 BCE.

The site maintains open access through nearby footpaths, with an unsurfaced parking area available for visitors near the B4001 road.

The protected chalk grassland supports over 150 plant species and rare butterflies, including marsh fritillary, chalkhill blue, and brown argus species.
