Description
St Leonard's-in-the-Fields is a Gothic revival church in Perth with a square tower topped by a crown spire. Inside, it features a six-bay nave with side aisles arranged in traditional Gothic style that extends the full length of the building.
History
The church was built between 1882 and 1885 by architect J. J. Stevenson, replacing a wooden photography studio that had occupied the site since the 1850s. This construction marked a significant shift in how the land was used.
Culture
The semi-octagonal apse shows influences from a 15th-century church found in Stirling. This architectural choice gives the interior a distinctive character that visitors can observe when walking through the space.

The best access is from the street side, where the square tower is immediately visible. Visitors can explore the building outside of service times, though it is wise to check with locals or a nearby information point for current opening hours.
