Phensang Monastery

Phensang Monastery is a Buddhist vihara situated on a sloping terrain in a mountainous region of North Sikkim. The complex features traditional architectural elements typical of monasteries in this part of the Himalayas.

This monastery was founded in the early 1700s and served as an important religious site in the region. A significant fire in the mid-1900s destroyed the main structures, leading to a complete reconstruction shortly after.
