Shri Viswa Vinayaka Mandir Rhenock, Hindu temple in Rhenock, East Sikkim district, India
The Shri Viswa Vinayaka Mandir rises 108 feet tall across four stories, situated on a 2.56-acre plot in the mountainous region of Sikkim.
Former chief minister Pawan Chamling and VHP general secretary Dinesh Chandra inaugurated the temple on October 3, 2016, following its foundation stone placement in 2008.
The temple complex incorporates detailed representations of Samudra Manthan, depicting the mythological struggle between Gods and Demons from Hindu sacred texts.
Materials for construction came from Thailand, while skilled craftsmen from Nepal and West Bengal worked together to create this religious structure.
The temple houses 51 different forms of Lord Ganesha, including a central 12-foot statue with 16 hands, making it distinct in India's North East Region.
