Château Aselmeyer, Gothic castle in Chiaia, Italy

The Aselmeyer Castle features twin towers covered in Vesuvian stone and stands between the Vomero hill and Amedeo district of Naples.

Built between 1899 and 1902 by Anglo-Neapolitan architect Lamont Young, the castle was sold to banker Carlo Aselmeyer after Young moved to Gaiola Island.

The castle incorporates English Gothic architectural elements with pointed arches, projecting towers, and polychrome windows reflecting the Tudor and Elizabethan influences.

The castle structure sits on Corso Vittorio Emanuele 166 and contains multiple private apartments, making interior visits restricted to residents only.

The building materials combine Vesuvian stone facades with wooden interiors, including floors, ceilings, walls, stairs, and doors throughout the castle structure.
