Florence Courthouse, Modern courthouse in Novoli, Italy

The Florence Courthouse rises 72 meters high with a contemporary design featuring bold geometric shapes and large glass panels across its exterior facade.

Architect Leonardo Ricci designed this legal complex in the 1980s with the purpose of centralizing all judicial offices into a single location.

The building received its name from Piero Calamandrei, an influential Florentine jurist who contributed to the foundation of the Italian Republic.

The courthouse contains multiple judicial departments including the Court of Appeal, Public Prosecutor's Office, and Justice of Peace, previously spread across Florence.

With measurements of 240 meters in length and 146 meters in width, this structure stands as Italy's second-largest tribunal building after Turin's courthouse.
