Condominio in San Jacopino

The Condominio is a residential building in the San Jacopino district with a distinctive triangular shape that rises five to six stories high. It combines ground-floor retail spaces with apartments above and features marble flooring in shared areas and ceramic tiles throughout the living units.

Marco Dezzi Bardeschi designed this residential complex in 1973, with construction completed in 1976. It was built as part of Florence's urban expansion during that era.

The structure introduces contemporary architectural elements through its geometric shapes, including triangular prisms, parallelepipeds, and cylindrical forms for staircases.

The building stands out in the streetscape and has a clear main entrance accessible from the street level. It sits in a mixed-use neighborhood with good connections to the surrounding area.

The exterior walls are covered in a dark red-brown material, and the window frames display a distinctive pea-green color throughout the facade. This unusual color pairing creates a strong visual contrast with the surrounding neighborhood.
