San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini, Renaissance church in central Florence, Italy.

San Jacopo in Campo Corbolini is a Renaissance church in Florence with a three-bay portico supported by four octagonal stone columns. The building sits at Via Faenza 23 and displays the architectural details typical of this period.

This place was founded in 1206 and started under the care of the Knights Templar. In 1256 it transferred to the Knights Hospitaller, who maintained its religious role for centuries to come.

The wooden busts inside show how this chapel honored Mary Magdalene and Saint James the Elder. The tomb slabs of knights on the walls remind visitors of this place's deep connection to medieval military orders.

The place now functions as part of the Lorenzo de Medici School and can be visited by those interested in its architecture. Access is possible when entering the school area and speaking with staff about viewing the interior.

From 1311 onwards, the building housed a small military hospital, showing the close ties between this chapel and religious warrior orders. This dual function as both a place of worship and a medical facility is uncommon in medieval architecture.
