Hankyu Nishinomiya Stadium was a baseball venue in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, designed to hold tens of thousands of visitors for professional games. The field extended over one hundred meters to center and was surrounded by tiered seating that wrapped around the diamond in a traditional ballpark layout.
The venue opened in the late nineteen-thirties and served for decades as home to a professional baseball team. After the team moved to Kobe in the early nineties, the site remained standing for several years before being demolished in the early two thousands.
The stadium hosted international performances, including concerts by Queen in 1982 and Michael Jackson during his Bad World Tour in 1987.
The site was located in Takamatsucho, a short walk from Nishinomiyakitaguchi Station. The facility remained open until the early two thousands, when it was closed for good.
