Maizuru Chiegura

Maizuru Chiegura is a red brick building originally constructed as a storage facility for the port. Inside, exhibitions display the history of the harbor's growth, the role of trade and labor, and objects from the daily lives of people who worked here.

The building was constructed in the early 1900s during Japan's period of industrial growth and served as part of Maizuru's port infrastructure. It later became a museum and received its name Chiegura, meaning wisdom storehouse.
