就実の丘, Rolling hill area in Asahikawa, Japan

Shujitsu Hill rises above the Asahikawa landscape and offers views of the Daisetsuzan mountain range as well as the surrounding farmland extending toward the horizon. The elevated area is reached by winding roads and provides a wide panoramic view in multiple directions.

The area gained recognition in recent years through television filming and magazine features, transforming from an obscure location into a popular photography destination. This growing attention has significantly increased visitor numbers.

The hill served as a filming location for the 2013 television drama series Galileo, with the winding roads leading up to the viewpoint becoming recognizable to viewers. Fans of the show have since made it a regular destination.

The location remains accessible 24 hours daily throughout the year, but visitors should be aware of brown bear activity in the area. It is wise to take precautions and stay alert while exploring the hill.

At sunset, the Daisetsuzan and Tokachi mountain ranges display reddish hues and sometimes create sun pillar phenomena through optical effects in the atmosphere. These visual effects are most striking on clear days with low humidity.
