Amagi Historical Museum

The Amagi Historical Museum maintains collections of regional artifacts, photographs, and documents that detail the development of Asakura through different periods.

The museum, which opened on May 25, 1985, displays stone paving from an ancient port used for water transportation discovered during local excavations.

Exhibits at the museum present the daily life of past residents through authentic household items, traditional tools, and personal belongings from different eras.

The museum provides educational programs for students and maintains regular operating hours with specific closures during national holidays for maintenance purposes.

The museum contains an exhibition room that reproduces the residence of Yoshikage Asakura, the fifth leader of the influential Asakura clan.
