Konrin-in, Buddhist temple in Yamatokoriyama, Japan

Located in Koizumi-cho district, Konrin-in features traditional Buddhist architecture with a main hall displaying mathematical tablets and religious artifacts.

The temple was established in 1659 by Naoyoshi Fujibayashi, a tea ceremony master who served the second lord of the Koizumi Domain.

The temple maintains its position as the principal center for Koshin faith practices in the former Yamato Province of Nara Prefecture.

Visitors can reach Konrin-in by taking a 10-minute walk from Yamatokoizumi Station, following the signs through the local neighborhood.

The temple houses a statue of Shomen-kongo discovered in ashes when the domain lord Sadataka Katagiri burned household furniture.
