Konzō-ji, Buddhist temple in Zentsūji, Japan
The temple complex features two distinct precincts, with the east precinct containing the Kondō Hall and the west precinct housing the Mieidō Hall.
Established in 774, Konzō-ji became a significant religious center during the development of Buddhism in Japan, with notable expansions occurring through subsequent centuries.
The temple maintains a collection of National Treasures, including a gilt bronze finial and the Preface to the Lotus Sutra decorated with Buddhas.
Visitors can access the temple grounds through marked pathways, with informational signs in English and Japanese guiding them through the various structures.
The five-storied pagoda, constructed in 1902, stands as the tallest structure within the temple compound and holds designation as an Important Cultural Property.
