霊山寺, Buddhist temple in Takatsuki, Japan.

Ryozenji is a Buddhist temple in Takatsuki featuring traditional wooden buildings, including a main hall and pagoda structure. The grounds are surrounded by gardens with stone arrangements and decorative ponds that create a peaceful space to explore.

The temple was founded during the Nara period when Buddhist monk Gyoki established it under Emperor Shomu's order in the 8th century. These early roots made it an important site in the spread of Buddhism throughout the region.

The temple belongs to the Koyasan Shingon sect and serves as the 49th station on a pilgrimage route that includes 88 temples throughout the region. People visit to pray and experience the spiritual quality that has developed here over many centuries.

The temple is accessible from sunrise to sunset, with the main hall available for prayers and meditation during regular hours. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since the paths through the gardens can be uneven.

The temple maintains a collection of sacred Buddhist artifacts, including statues and scrolls dating back to Japan's medieval period. These carefully preserved objects show the artistic skill and craftsmanship of earlier centuries.
