田尻スカイブリッジ, Cable-stayed bridge in Tajiri, Japan.
The Tajiri Sky Bridge crosses over Tajiri Fishing Port with an H-shaped tower that rises to 110 meters in height. The structure accommodates four traffic lanes and spans 338.1 meters across the water.
The bridge opened in 1994 as part of a regional road project developed by a consortium of major construction firms. Its completion represented an important infrastructure development for the area.
The bridge serves as a gathering place where visitors watch sunsets over the bay, which is known among locals and travelers as one of Japan's notable sunset viewing locations. People come here to experience the light show and capture photographs as day turns to evening.
The bridge is most easily reached on foot from Yoshiminozato Station in about 15 minutes. A faster option is to take a taxi from Rinku Town Station, which takes only a few minutes.
Starting in July 2023, the bridge features nightly color-changing illuminations that shift every 30 minutes. This lighting display was created to mark the town's 70th anniversary celebration.
