Mt. Sakatsugigatake

Mt. Sakatsugigatake is a 794-meter (2,605 ft) peak located in the central eastern Hyogo Prefecture. The mountain features multiple marked trails accessible from the northern side near Tamba-Sasayama station.

The peak has served as a geographical reference point for travelers between Kyoto and the Tamba region since the Edo period. Historic trade and pilgrimage routes once crossed this mountain terrain.

The mountain holds importance for the local community as a natural landmark people visit throughout the year. Residents and visitors alike use the trails as part of their connection to the surrounding landscape.
