The Kobe Municipal Hyogo Library functions as a branch of the Kobe City Library system, located on the second floor of Canal Town East building.
Since its establishment, the library has expanded its collection and services to accommodate the growing population of the Hyogo Ward district.
The library introduced its official mascot character 'Toshoko-chan' in 2016, which represents the connection between books and the Hyogo community.
The facility operates from 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, while Sunday hours extend from 10:00 to 18:00, with regular closures on Mondays.
In February 2023, the library installed a book sterilization machine that uses ultraviolet light and air flow to remove dust from materials.
