The market opens from 6 AM and typically welcomes buyers until around 10 AM, while dining facilities remain available until midday. Visitors should plan to avoid Wednesdays and holidays when the market is closed.

This is the first wholesale market in Japan to have an integrated export facility that processes agricultural and seafood products in the same location. This combination allows goods to move more directly from processing to international shipment.
