Southern Sky Tower Hachioji, Skyscraper in Koyasumachi, Japan.
Southern Sky Tower Hachioji is a 41-story skyscraper with 2 basement levels in central Hachioji that reaches 157.5 meters tall. The building houses residential apartments, retail shops, and office spaces in one integrated structure.
Construction began in September 2010 and the building opened to the public on December 1st of that year. This represented a major development phase for the city.
The tower mixes apartments with shops and offices, showing how Japanese cities blend living and working spaces together in one building.
A covered pedestrian bridge connects the tower directly to Hachioji Station, allowing dry access during rainy weather. This makes reaching public transportation simple and convenient.
The tower houses 390 residential units, and many of these apartments have views of Mount Tanzawa, Mount Takao, and Mount Fuji on clear days. This view was a key consideration in the building's design.
