Ube Tokiwa Museum

The Ube Tokiwa Museum combines outdoor art exhibitions with natural landscapes, featuring numerous sculptures placed throughout extensive garden paths and green spaces.

After its establishment in January 2007, the museum integrated an existing collection of outdoor sculptures with botanical specimens to create a unified cultural space.

The museum hosts a regular sculpture biennale that brings together artists from Japan and abroad to display their works within the gardens.

Visitors can access the museum through a 30-minute bus ride from Shin-Yamaguchi Station, with admission costing 500 yen for adults and free for students.

The gardens contain more than 3,500 cherry trees and 80,000 iris flowers that bloom in succession, creating different visual experiences throughout spring and summer.
