Nittele Tower, Television studio skyscraper in Shiodome, Japan
Nittele Tower is an office and broadcast building with 32 floors and a height of about 193 meters located in Tokyo's business district. The structure features exposed steel frameworks and glass facades that give it a transparent, modern look.
The building was completed in April 2003 as a modern broadcast headquarters designed by Richard Rogers and Mitsubishi Jisho Design. It received a prestigious architectural award shortly after opening for its innovative design approach.
Nippon Television operates three stacked studios within the building where it produces entertainment and news programs for Japan. The facility has become a notable hub for broadcast media in the city's skyline.
The tower is located near Shimbashi Station on the Yurikamome line, making it easily accessible by public transport. The main entrances on the street level are clearly marked for visitor orientation.
The four corners of the building feature buttress elements that reduce seismic energy by about 40 percent during earthquakes. This design feature makes it an example of earthquake-resistant construction in one of the world's most seismically active regions.
