Kaga-Honda Museum, Samurai museum in Hondanomori Park, Kanazawa, Japan
The Kaga-Honda Museum exhibits military equipment, traditional weaponry, and personal artifacts belonging to the influential Honda family of feudal Japan.
The Honda clan, established by Masashige who fought at the Battle of Sekigahara, maintained political influence throughout the Tokugawa Shogunate period.
The museum collection includes ornate horse harnesses with gold inlay, battle armor for horses, and artifacts from Maeda Clan daughters who married Honda family members.
Visitors can access the museum from Kanazawa Station by taxi within 15 minutes, with general admission set at 400 yen and free entry for high school students.
The museum displays a specialized spear with an extended blade that required exceptional strength to wield, demonstrating the advanced military capabilities of samurai warriors.
