Hyperion is a steel roller coaster at Energylandia in Zator that stretches 1450 meters and reaches speeds of 142 kilometers per hour. The track runs through several curves and one inversion sequence with a maximum drop angle of 85 degrees.
Swiss manufacturer Intamin built the coaster, which welcomed its first guests on July 14, 2018. Since then it has remained one of the tallest roller coasters in Poland and Europe.
The ride's name refers to Greek mythology and connects with a space theme that follows visitors through music and visual elements during the journey. The station displays futuristic design with references to space travel and distant moons.
The coaster operates two trains with seven cars each, carrying up to 28 people per ride. Wait times vary depending on visitor numbers, with the system handling around 1300 guests per hour.
The coaster plunges 82 meters (269 feet) at an 85-degree angle directly into an underground tunnel system. This section ranks among the steepest drops in Europe.
