Energylandia, Amusement park in Zator, Poland
Energylandia is an amusement park in Zator, Poland, with six themed zones and more than a hundred rides and attractions. The zones range from medieval fortresses to futuristic roller coasters, connected by wide paths and gardens with artificial lakes.
The park opened in July 2014 with three roller coasters and grew over the following years through construction of new themed zones and rides. Each season brought additional installations, until the facility became the largest of its kind in the country.
Each zone carries names drawn from local folklore and Polish storytelling traditions, with some rides decorated in Slavic motifs. Families gather most often in summer weekends, when children in costume wander through the themed areas and chat together in the queues.
A day ticket covers all rides without extra charge, and a large parking area sits just outside the entrance. The park lies between Krakow and Katowice, about an hour's drive from either city.
The wooden roller coaster Zadra rises to more than 60 meters and drops at a 90-degree vertical angle. This construction ranks among the tallest of its kind worldwide and draws roller coaster fans from across Europe.
