Energylandia, Amusement park in Zator, Poland
Energylandia is an amusement park in Zator, Poland, covering 74 hectares and divided into seven themed zones, including Smoczy Gród (Dragon Zone) and Aqualantis. Its entrance is built as a grey stone and cream castle facade with dark blue roofs, a central clock tower and the words "ENERGY LANDIA" in red and blue letters.
The park opened in July 2014 with three roller coasters and grew over the following years through construction of new themed zones and rides. Each season brought additional installations, until the facility became the largest of its kind in the country.
Zone names come from the park's own themes: Bajkolandia means fairytale land, Smoczy Gród is Dragon Zone, and Aqualantis refers to the myth of a sunken city such as Atlantis. The water park has four large water playgrounds for children aged 5 to 12.
A day ticket covers all rides without extra charge, and a large parking area sits just outside the entrance. The park lies between Krakow and Katowice, about an hour's drive from either city.
Zadra is a hybrid coaster built by Rocky Mountain Construction with steel I-Box track on a wooden structure, not a wooden coaster. Its name is Polish for "splinter", after the construction material. It opened on 22 August 2019 in the Dragon Zone and won a Golden Ticket Award in 2022.
