Jardim José do Canto

Jardim José do Canto is a botanical garden in Ponta Delgada with several hectares of land and carefully designed pathways. These paths connect different areas where native and foreign plant species grow throughout the grounds.

José do Canto founded this botanical garden in the 19th century to grow different plant species. The project helped advance farming methods on São Miguel Island.
