Established in 1990 as Romania's newest botanical garden, this green space transformed from municipal land into a scientific and educational institution.

The garden functions as an educational center where students and researchers study plant species while participating in national and international seed exchange programs.

The garden welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Sunday between 09:00 and 17:00, with separate admission fees for adults at 7 RON and children at 2 RON.

The garden maintains specific climate monitoring systems to study plant adaptation to the local weather conditions influenced by the Danube River proximity.
