Kuća Branislava Nušića, Protected residential house in Savski Venac, Serbia

Kuća Branislava Nušića is a protected residential building on Šekspirova Street that shows typical Belgrade architectural features of the early twentieth century. The structure was designed by civil engineer Zoran Tomić and maintains its original appearance and interior layout.

Serbian playwright Branislav Nušić had this residence built in 1937, just before his death the following year. The building received official protection status from Belgrade's heritage institute in 1967.

The house reflects how an educated Serbian intellectual lived in the early twentieth century, with original furnishings and personal objects on display from Branislav Nušić's time. The rooms show the everyday life and values of a prominent cultural figure of that era.

The residence is situated in an established residential neighborhood and can be easily reached on foot. The interior spaces are arranged clearly, and visitors should check ahead for access times since visits may require advance notice.

The residence preserves a remarkable collection of Nušić's personal objects and furnishings that document his intellectual life. These private items offer visitors a rare window into how a significant Serbian writer lived and worked in the early twentieth century.
