The Gallery of European and American Art houses an extensive collection of French Impressionist paintings, including works by Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh.
The museum opened in 2006 within the former Golitsyn estate's left wing, constructed by architects Chevakinsky and Zherebtsov between the 17th and 19th centuries.

The museum building retains its original stone gates bearing the Golitsyn family crest, connecting modern art exhibitions with Russian architectural heritage.
