Architect Silvio Danini constructed this residence between 1905 and 1906, marking a period of architectural innovation in early twentieth-century Russia.
The mansion received recognition as a regional cultural heritage site through Law No. 174-27 of St. Petersburg in July 1999.
Engineers relocated the entire structure, including its basements, during urban reconstruction without causing structural damage to the building.
General Ivan Gudovich, a military commander from Russian-Turkish wars and Moscow governor, established this mansion before passing it to his sons.
