Irinovsky Bridge, Road and tram bridge over Okhta River in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The Irinovsky Bridge crosses the Okhta River and connects Irinovsky Prospect to Bolshaya Porokhovskaya Street and Energetikov Avenue. It serves both vehicle and tram traffic with a reinforced concrete structure.
Engineer L.N. Sobolev designed this bridge in 1982 as a replacement for the earlier First Okhta Bridge. The previous structure had carried the Rzhevskaya tram line.
The bridge takes its name from Irinovsky Prospect, which originated from the village of Irinovka. The area was historically tied to peat extraction during the 1800s.
The crossing accommodates six vehicle lanes and two tram tracks simultaneously. The design supports through-traffic from multiple directions across the river.
The bridge employs prefabricated I-section concrete blocks connected by heavy transverse beams. This construction method was a notable engineering solution for its time.
