The Protection of Our Lady Church features Russian Revival architecture with colorful domes and stands at Turchaninov Lane, building 4, in Moscow.
The church, constructed between 1907 and 1911 by architects Vladimir Adamovich and Vladimir Mayat, underwent restoration in 1992 after years of Soviet control.
The building serves as a religious center for Old Believers, a group that separated from the Russian Orthodox Church during the 17th century reforms.
The crosses and bells of the church returned to their positions on February 8, 1998, marking a major step in the restoration process.
The interior contains numerous frescoes and icons, while its exterior combines National Romantic style with Art Nouveau elements and Pskov architectural traditions.
