Lycée Tsarévitch-Nicolas

Lycée Tsarévitch-Nicolas is a grand building at 53 Ostozhenka Street with classical architectural features and spacious interior rooms for learning. The structure was designed to accommodate multiple classrooms and specialized teaching spaces across different academic subjects.

Founded in 1875, this school started with eight main classes and three specialized post-secondary levels in law, mathematics, and literature. Writer Mikhail Katkov supported the institution during its establishment and early development.

The building reflects classical architectural styles that conveyed its role as a serious educational institution. Its formal design and spacious interior spaces were organized to support rigorous academic study during the 19th century.

The building now houses the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is not open to regular tourists. Visitors can still appreciate the classical facade and impressive exterior design from the street, which gives a sense of the site's historical importance.
