Lower Volga River Embankment

The Lower Volga River Embankment stretches along the water's edge and offers views across the river. It connects different parts of the city through paved pathways and has various access points to different levels.

The promenade connects directly to the monumental Chkalov Stairs, a massive staircase with about 560 steps that climbs from the waterfront to the upper city. This dramatic link was once a symbol of Soviet architecture and remains a striking feature today.
