Citygate, Office skyscraper in Gårda, Sweden
Citygate is a 36-story office tower in Gothenburg that combines workspace, restaurants, a cafe, and shared working areas under one roof. The building provides flexible office floors, fitness facilities, and various dining options for workers and visitors.
Construction started in 2019 on challenging ground conditions with deep clay deposits beneath the city. The tower was completed in 2022 and became the tallest office building in the Nordic region.
The Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects and Kanozi Arkitekter designed this structure, which became the tallest office building in Nordic countries in 2022.
The tower is well-served by public transit and offers underground parking and secure bicycle storage. Fitness areas and dining options spread across multiple floors make navigation straightforward for visitors.
The foundation extends 60 meters deep into the ground, anchoring the structure securely below the surface. The construction demanded innovative engineering to handle these extreme depths.
