Fabova hoľa, Mountain summit in Brezno District, Slovakia
Fabova hoľa is the highest peak of the Vepor Mountains, reaching about 1439 meters in central Slovakia. The summit straddles the border between two districts and is covered in dense forest.
The mountain has marked a natural boundary between Brezno District and Revúca District since 2004 in the Banskobystrický region. This territorial division makes the summit an important landmark for the area.
The summit holds a metal register box attached to a decorated wooden pole where hikers record their visits. This logbook preserves personal notes from people who have climbed the mountain.
Hikers can start their journey from three different locations: Pohronská Polhora, Polomka, or from the Zbojská saddle train station. The marked trails are clearly signposted and lead upward through the forest to reach the summit.
The summit is so densely covered with forest that there are no views from the top itself. To see the surrounding landscape, visitors must walk down to the nearby slopes.
