Zeytinburnu Buz Adası, ice sports venue in Istanbul, Turkey
Zeytinburnu Buz Adası is an ice rink facility in Istanbul with two large ice surfaces for skating and hockey. The venue includes seating for approximately 2,750 spectators, coach and referee rooms, a fitness center, library, café, and 24 overnight accommodations.
The project started in 2017 with small movable ice surfaces for young players. The complete facility opened in 2022 with support from local sports organizations and municipal government.
The ice rink serves as a gathering place where families and young people come to skate or watch competitions. It combines recreational fun with serious athletic training, making it a social space for the community.
The ice rink is easily accessible by public transport including metro, tram, and bus, with parking available both indoors and outdoors. Visitors should know that various time slots for open skating and lessons are available, and warm clothing is necessary.
The facility offers 24 overnight rooms, which is practical for out-of-town visitors. This allows coaches, athletes, and fans to stay on-site for longer periods to participate in tournaments and events.
