Bairachky

Bairachky is a settlement in the Alchevsk urban hromada in eastern Ukraine. It sits at an elevation of about 268 meters and serves as a residential community managed by the local administrative structures of the region.

The settlement gained its official designation in 1954 during the Soviet period as an urban-type settlement. This classification was part of a Soviet system that ranked communities between villages and cities.

The settlement maintains traditional Eastern Ukrainian community practices through local gatherings and administrative functions connected to the Alchevsk urban district.

The settlement connects to other areas through the Alchevsk hromada administrative network. Visitors should know that the area is rural in character and basic services may be limited.

From January 2024, the settlement undergoes administrative reforms as Ukraine eliminates the urban-type settlement category. This change marks a reassessment of how communities are classified nationwide.
