Kettering Tower

Kettering Tower is a 30-story office building in downtown Dayton that rises to about 124 meters and dominates the local skyline. The structure contains office spaces across multiple floors along with dining, fitness, and banking facilities.

The building was completed in 1970 through the vision of Eugene Kettering, whose father founded a major electronics company in Dayton. It emerged during the city's mid-century growth and development period.

The building represents the mid-century modernist architectural movement with its minimalist design, teak wood finishes, and natural stone materials.

The tower can be easily located by its height and position in the downtown area. Visitors should be aware that it functions primarily as a private office and commercial space with limited public access to interior areas.

The building changed ownership in 2019 when a company undertook significant modernization work on its systems. New chillers and elevators were installed to update the mechanical infrastructure.
