Memorial Union Building

The Memorial Union Building is the main student center at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, combining Gothic architectural details with multiple gathering areas throughout its interior. The facility includes dining options, meeting rooms, and social spaces spread across several floors.

The building opened in 1957 following planning efforts that started in the 1930s with fundraising campaigns. The years between initial vision and completion reflected the campus community's dedication to creating a dedicated student space.
