Lake Arthur within Moraine State Park extends across 3,225 acres, surrounded by 16,725 acres of forests, meadows, and recreational facilities.
The Erie tribe inhabited this land until the 1600s, when conflicts with Iroquois and European settlers led to their departure from the region.
The Regatta at Lake Arthur brings together water sports enthusiasts each August for competitions, demonstrations, and community celebrations on the lake.
Visitors access 71 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, plus 42 miles of shoreline for water activities.
The park contains geological formations from the Last Glacial Period, with moraines creating a landscape of rolling hills and varied terrain.
