Redick Mansion, Queen Anne style mansion in North Omaha, United States.

The Redick Mansion is a five-story Queen Anne style residence in North Omaha featuring 20 rooms and a wide veranda that wrapped around the entire first floor. The architectural design reflects the elegance and scale of the original structure's transformation from farmhouse to grand home.

The building was constructed in 1876 as a simple farmhouse and underwent major transformation after Clifton E. Mayne purchased and expanded it in 1885. This renovation marked its evolution into a prominent residence that would later serve important civic purposes in the city.

The mansion served as the first home of Omaha University from 1909 to 1917, with its carriage house functioning as a science laboratory. This educational role became a defining part of the building's story in the city's development.

The mansion was originally located on North 24th Street in Omaha but was later relocated to Keeley Island in Minnesota. Visitors should be aware that the structure no longer stands at its original site in the city.

After relocating to Minnesota, the structure became the Valhalla Dance Pavilion and Cafe before being completely destroyed by fire in 1928. This transformation reveals how the building continued to serve the public for decades after leaving Omaha, until its sudden loss.
