The limestone structure features four Ionic columns supporting a grand portico and central dome at 3105 North 24th Street in Omaha.
Built in 1910 as North Presbyterian Church, the building merged with Hillside Presbyterian in 1954 to form Calvin Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The church played a central role in civil rights activities, with Reverend Charles Tyler leading congregation members to participate in the 1963 March on Washington.
The building received a $100,000 grant in 2024 for renovation plans to transform the vacant structure into a community center with technology training facilities.
The architectural design drew inspiration from structures of the 1898 Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition that previously occupied the same location.
