Dr. Samuel D. Mercer House, Queen Anne mansion in Walnut Hill, Omaha, United States.

The red brick residence at 3920 Cuming Street features 23 rooms and a three-story square tower above the main entrance on the south side.

Samuel Mercer, chief surgeon of the Union Pacific Railroad and founder of Omaha's first hospital, constructed this residence in 1885 for $60,000.

The mansion exemplifies late 19th-century residential architecture through its Victorian design elements and grand proportions characteristic of successful medical professionals.

The structure, now divided into multiple apartment units, obtained National Register of Historic Places status in 1976 and remains a central feature of the neighborhood.

The house stands at the center of a district that Mercer himself platted, with former cable car stops positioned near the property during the 1880s.
