Mutual of Omaha Building

The Mutual of Omaha Building is a 14-story office tower that stands 285 feet tall and occupies a prominent location in downtown Omaha. Its north-facing facade overlooks Dodge Street, which is a main thoroughfare in the city center.

The building opened in 1970 as the corporate headquarters for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. It has maintained its position as one of the city's six tallest structures since its completion.

The building displayed large-scale photographs on its north face, including an Olympic swimmer in 2008 and a tiger in 2009 to mark the company centennial. These images shaped the local streetscape and made the structure a visual landmark in the downtown area.

The building features an underground employee cafe beneath a glass dome, providing shelter and shade in the interior. Metro Transit services stop nearby, offering convenient public transportation access for visitors and workers.

The structure anchors the Midtown Crossing development, serving as the largest building within this mixed-use commercial complex. Its location makes it a focal point of one of Omaha's most significant urban redevelopment projects.
