Gottlieb Storz House, Georgian mansion in Blackstone district, Omaha, United States.

The Gottlieb Storz House is a three-story Georgian residence in Omaha's Blackstone district with beige brick walls, limestone trim, and a red tile roof. Inside, the home contains twenty-seven rooms including five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a separate three-story carriage house situated on the property.

Architect Thomas Rogers Kimball designed this residence in 1905 for Gottlieb Storz, a German immigrant who founded the Storz Brewing Company in Omaha. The home was built during a period of economic prosperity and stands as a marker of the prominent place Storz had established for himself in the city.

The residence carries the name of its original owner, a German immigrant who made his fortune in brewing, and its design reflects the tastes of an affluent family of that era. The hand-carved wooden details and stone fireplaces throughout show how wealth was expressed through craftsmanship and fine materials.

The home is located on Wirt Street and is visible from the street, allowing visitors to appreciate the exterior facade and the carriage house that sit on the property. Taking time to walk around the neighborhood helps you understand how this residence fits within the broader area and its architectural setting.

A ballroom on the top floor bears the name of a famous dance couple and remains available for events today. This connection to performing artists points to the wider cultural life that took place within these walls beyond the original family's residence.
