St. John Vianney Cure of Ars School was a Catholic elementary school located in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx. It served students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, with each grade level having one classroom.
The school was established in 1963 to serve the military community in the area. It closed in 2011 following a decision by the New York Archdiocese to consolidate Catholic educational resources.
Students celebrated All Saints Day by researching selected saints, preparing reports, and participating in a neighborhood parade wearing costumes representing their chosen saints.
The school is situated in a residential neighborhood easily accessible by subway and bus routes. The building is no longer operational and is not open to the public for visits.
The final graduating class received commemorative banners displaying the school name, mascot, and operational dates as part of the closing ceremony in June 2011.
