Terminal Commerce Building

The Terminal Commerce Building is a 14-story Art Deco structure in Philadelphia with a concrete frame, brick walls, and terra cotta details on its front facade. The H-shaped layout connects the tall office section at the street to lower warehouse areas behind it.

This complex was built from 1929 to 1931 by the Reading Company to house offices, showrooms, parking, and a freight station under one roof. It served as a major hub for moving goods and products between northern and southern railroad routes.

The building reflects how Philadelphia developed its commercial spaces during the early 20th century through Art Deco design. The mix of office areas and warehouse sections shows how the city combined business operations with transportation needs.
