Reading Terminal, Former railway station building complex in Center City, Philadelphia, United States.
The Reading Terminal complex spans an entire city block, featuring a Victorian-style headhouse, a market hall, and an industrial-era steel trainshed.
The terminal, completed in 1893 by Wilson Brothers & Company, operated as Philadelphia's main railway hub until its closure in 1984.
The Reading Terminal Market inside the complex maintains 80 vendors offering regional specialties, international cuisine, and fresh produce to thousands of visitors daily.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center now occupies the upper levels while the ground floor houses the market, which operates seven days per week.
The terminal's steel and glass trainshed measured 266 feet wide and 559 feet long, ranking among the largest single-span arched-roof structures of the 1890s.
